Unlike NBC, CBS has no problem filling its primetime schedule.
On Monday, the network renewed “How I Met Your Mother” for a sixth season and ordered a new comedy from the “Mother” team. CBS already has multi-year renewals on “Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men.”
CBS also ordered two more rounds of “Survivor” and “Amazing Race.”
The next rounds of “Survivor” will be the 21st and 22nd installments of broadcast television’s longest-running reality competition series. “Amazing Race” recently wrapped its 15th round.
CBS ordered two new sitcoms: “Hitched,” from “Chuck” co-creator Josh Schwartz, is about a newlywed couple, surrounded by their family and friends; and an untitled comedy about a widower with a 12-year-old son.
