Lifetime Television appears to have a bonafide hit with “Army Wives” which has scored impressive ratings since it returned to the Sunday night lineup two weeks ago.
It is not only the top-rated basic cable drama among women, it is also #1 among cable viewers ages 18-49 and 25-54. It also tops the broadcast networks, too.
For the second straight week, the series grabbed the top spot in prime among households at 10 p.m. on Sunday, according to a news release from the network.
Filmed on location in Charleston, S.C., “Army Wives” stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller and Catherine Bell.
The series is based on the book “Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives” by Tanya Biank, who serves as a consultant. “Army Wives” is produced by ABC Studios.
