Some cynical folks might joke that there are no winners on “The Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” - at least when it comes to finding love.
However, appearing on the show apparently can lead to a career as a reality show cast-off. ABC plans to recycle former memorable “Bachelor” contestants in a summer reality show, “Bachelor Pad.”
The show which begins August has begun production in Los Angeles where 19 former players (who are sill single) are housed in a posh pad where bickering, backstabbing and hot tub action are almost certain.
“Bachelor” host Chris Harrison will host this one along with former jilted “Bachelor” sweetheart Melissa Rycroft.
In addition to the chance to find love (or something like it), the winner gets $250,000.
The cast has not been officially announced but some names have been leaked: Natalie Getz, Nikki Kaapke, Kiptyn Locke, Dave Good, John Hardesty, Juan Barbieri, Mathue Johnson, Wes Hayden, Jessie Sulidis, Valishia Salvage, and Elizabeth Kitt, Tenley Molzahn, Gia Allemand, Craig McKinnon and Jonathan Novak, and Gwen Gioia.
