The results are staggering - and so are the zombies. More than 11 viewers watched the season debut of American Movie Classic’s “The Walking Dead.”  The audience was spread over three airings Sunday.

The 9 p.m. debut of the second season garnered 7. 3 million viewers, a record number for AMC.

Included in that group were 4.8 million persons 18 to 49 and 4.2 million adults 25 to 54, demo deliveries that broke the basic-cable record for a single drama telecast previously held by USA Network’s “The Dead Zone” a few yhears back.

Total viewership for the second-campaign’s premiere episode increased 38% over the series’ season one average, with Sunday’s 4.8 household rating representing a 36% advance over last season’s rating.

The Walking Dead improved 36% in the key demo and 35% with adults 25 to 54 over its season-one average, according to AMC officials.

NBC “Today” show announced today that Matt Lauer will be logging more frequent flyer miles.

Lauer has logged 248,166 miles, visited 46 different destinations, traveled by airplane, zip line, camel and gondola, and said hello to America in 24 languages. Starting Monday, November 7 on NBC’s “Today,” Americans can once again ponder one of television’s greatest mysteries… “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?”

This year’s trip marks the tenth anniversary of “Where in the World is Matt Lauer,” and the weeklong expedition will cover five amazing locations around the globe in five days. Balloon Boy Dad Makes Another Music Video

Posted Oct 17, 2011 by Walt Belcher

Richard Henee, part-time inventor and father of Balloon Boy, is still seeking media attention. Now living in Pasco County, he’s starring as a aluminum wrap hero in a comedy music video on YouTube:

Henee, surrounded by his wife and kids, drinks a can of energy drink and is transformed into a superhero who does his “Aluminum Rap.”  Henee made national news a couple of years ago when his homemade balloon took flight and the media and authorities were lead to believe that one of his children was on board and in peril. It turned out to be a hoax (although Henee now denies it was intentional).

The video also features singer/song writer Smokey Miles who wrote the music.
Also appearing in the video is THE ALUMINUM BAND featuring SHELLEY MICHELLE (Julia Roberts’ “Pretty Woman” body double), exotic dancer NARAYANA, RILEY BRAY (Golden Ghosts) and SASHA KALEIDOSCOPIA VALLELY (Spindriftt) and someone dressed as a vampire.

Does this sound like a lawsuit waiting to happen?

truTV has ordered a pilot for “Guinness World Records Gone Wild,” a new series that challenges everyday people to push themselves to do break a record.  Jamie Kennedy will host.

The network release says it all:

“Guinness World Records Gone Wild” will feature average, everyday folks taking their shot at landing a place in the famed record book. Among the records the show will set out to break are the most panes of glass run through in one minute, fastest time to jump over three oncoming cars, highest dive into 12 inches of water, most kicks to the head in one minute, most live cockroaches held in the mouth, most paintballs to hit a person in 30 seconds and the most people crammed into a tiny car, to name a few.”
