TAMPA - Martin J. Murphy Jr. has joined the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Board of Advisors, according to a release from the center.
Murphy is founding chairman and chief executive officer of AlphaMed Consulting, a Durham, N.C., corporation that provides support for academic cancer centers and cancer drug development programs. He also is executive editor of two peer-reviewed journals, The Oncologist and Stem Cells, and a member of the board of trustees of the American Cancer Society Foundation.
Members of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Board of Advisors serve as Moffitt ambassadors and offer their expertise, advice and counsel on issues relating to the cancer center. The board is chaired by veteran ABC newsman Sam Donaldson.
