TAMPA PALMS - The GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman’s Club will host its sixth annual Fire Safety & Community Awareness Day at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Tampa Fire Rescue Station 20.
Members of the woman’s club have signed up 24 public agencies, private organizations and businesses to participate in the free, three-hour event at the fire station at 16200 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. There will be fire safety and K-9 demonstrations, information on environmental programs, arts and crafts and many activities for children.
Some of the participating agencies include Tampa Fire Rescue, Tampa Police Department, USF Police Department, YMCA, Hillsborough County Health Department, Dunkin Donuts and Westshore Pizza.
