HUNTER’S GREEN - Retired U.S. Army Gen. John C. Reppert, former U.S. defense attache to Russia, will be the guest speaker at the New Tampa Evening Rotary Club Thursday, Sept 10.
Reppert, who serves as vice president of the Academy of Senior Professionals at Eckerd College in Gulfport, will talk about United States and Russia relations during a presentation at the Hunter’s Green Country Club, 18101 Longwater Run Drive. A meet and greet begins at 6 p.m; the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
“One of the ongoing challenges for a series of U.S. administrations since the end of the Cold War is how to deal with Russia,” Rotarian Said Iravani said.
Reppert will discuss, Iravani said, “What are the key issues that define our relationship today and America’s challenges in finding a means of working with Russia that is perceived as mutually beneficial and sustainable?
