Busch Boulevard Beauty Project Begins This Month

TAMPA - The Busch Boulevard beautiful project is set to begin this month.
Construction work on a four-mile stretch of Busch is expected to gear up the week of Sept. 22, said Kristin Carson, spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Transportation.
A portion of the $12.5 million budget will give the unattractive boulevard an extreme makeover, with crepe myrtles, date palms and lots of purple, yellow and white flowers. The bulk of the project dollars will go to repave the six-lane road and bring it up to modern safety standards.
